Chapter 22
I asked him to finish this quickly because I was tired, but he didn’t answer for a while. Raymond looked closely at Erin’s face then said.
“It’s not a big deal.”
Having nothing to say, Raymond turned to Carlix sitting next to him.
“Why are you here?”
Carlix, who was only just eating the cookies that came with black tea next to him, answered calmly.
“It’s a dessert cafe.”
“So?”
“I came to eatdessert.”

Raymond looked at his younger brother as if he was embarrassed. Then he woke up from his seat as if he didn’t want to be involved any longer.
“We both better get going. You must’ve been tired.” Erin didn’t refute because she was so tired.
“Yes, thank you Your Grace, and Grand Duke, take care on your way back.”
“I’ll be back tomorrow, sister-in-law.”
Carlix waved his hand to me before he went out the door. He saved my life, but I couldn’t tell him not to come anymore. Erin replied with this weak smile.
“Yes, come tomorrow.”
Raymond watched the two people for a while, then turned around and went out.
“Brother.”
As soon as he came out the door, Carlix called Raymond.

Raymond listened to Carlix and fell silent for a moment. He couldn’t gather what he’s talking about.

For a moment, I looked directly at Carlix with dark eyes.

The relationship wasn’t that shameful, however after Raymond’s mother died, and Carlix’s mother was still single. He sense there’s something about his father and Carlix’s mother.
But the relationship was difficult to achieve anyway.
Teira was the only child of the Grand Duke, so if she came to the house of the emperor, the Grand Duke will lost their name as a Grand Duke.
Calix’s maternal grandfather, the War Squadron Grand Duke, never wanted such an outcome.
The Crown Prince is Raymond’s father, and Thera is Calix’s mother.
Raymond wouldn’t have been wary of Calix if the two had ended up having a secret relationship.
However, in the letter of the deceased prince, it was stated that the two were in a relationship until the very moment of Teira’s marriage.

Raymond asked, looking carefully at Calix in front of him.
“Where’s the body?”

Calix didn’t answer than he turned around and went to the other side.
Raymond walked towards the west. As soon as a block passed, he saw knights on horseback and carriage.
An intelligent man with brown hair rushed up to greet him. “Your Grace.”
When Jade saw Raymond who had returned alone, he asked wonderfully.
“Your Grace, you didn’t mean to take Erin to your Majesty?”
“I did.”
Raymond answered briefly and got into the carriage. Originally, he was going to take Erin to the palace.
However, seeing Erin in a pale complexion due to the after effects of the attack, he couldn’t say a word about going the palace with her.
Raymond sighed.
“We can meet again later and talk.”
He called in Jade to order before the carriage left.
“There’s a robber’s body in the alley. Send a man to the security forces and make sure they identify him.”

The next day, Erin got up before dawn and wore a light green dress. The sprout-like light-green cloth matched Erin’s platinum hair.
Erin came out of the store quietly with the finished cake.
Last night alone, I threw away all the chocolate and ingredients I had bought yesterday, so I wondered what to do with the order of cake.
I was forced to explain the situation and decided to delay it a day, but at dawn I heard a knock on the door on the first floor.
Erin hurriedly got up, put on a thin shawl and went down.
A small basket was placed in front of the door of the two-story house. In the basket, there were plenty of ingredients for the cake, including chocolate and apricot jam.
I could quickly see who sent it.
Raymond and Calix were the only ones who knew about yesterday, and Raymond wouldn’t have sent me this.
However, there is no way that the person who bought the culprit could have sent it.

Erin looked blankly around the garden, where the dawn light permeated.

A beautiful black-haired lady stood up and welcomed Erin. This was Kathy, the grand daughter of the prime minister.
Wearing a light blue dress, Kathy looked as chic and graceful as a rose.
Cathy laughed at Erin’s box of cakes.
“You brought the cake. We were all looking forward to it.” Kathy smiled and looked at the people at the tea table.
In the bright sunny tea room, there was a gathering of young ladies in all kinds of dresses. Colorful eyes glistened with penance. Erin noticed what was going on.
‘Oh, so everyone was curious, so they called me here.’
The young people gathered here were now the most popular aristocratic ones in society, mainly in Kathy’s state.
Hearing that Erin is opening a shop and doing business, it seems that these ladies were very curious about what I was selling.
However, the young children of the noble family could not come to buy the cake directly, so Kathy went out to gather her friends and ordered the cake from Erin..
