Immediately, President Liang tripped over both his feet and fell right onto the carpet.
The people inside laughed. “Haha, what’s up with President Liang? Is he here to give Xi-laoshi his New Year’s greetings?
President Liang got back up from the ground.
The people inside only teased him a little and immediately shifted their attention to say, “Xi-ge, over here!”
“Mr. Xi, after you,” President Liang said.
Actually, they were all staring at Bai Qi.
Bai Qi was good looking and was no less attractive even when he stood next to Xi Chengyun. Both of them were two different types of attractive, but ultimately, both were eye-catching.
Although everyone was extremely curious, no one dared to ask them directly, in case they said something that they shouldn’t have, thus offending Xi Chengyun.
Xi Chengyun brought Bai Qi along as they walked inside and found a seat.
Shang Guang was a little worried that Bai Qi would have stage fright.
However, now they were here and it was pointless to continue worrying. As long as he didn’t cause Xi-ge to lose face

Lots of thoughts passed through Shang Guang’s mind.
On the other hand, people around Xi Chengyun began talking about the movie again. Ever so often, there would be voices jutting in to say, “Xi-ge, why don’t you look at my proposal first?”
“Xi-laoshi, what about the matter I talked to you about last time?
Xi Chengyun was clearly the main character of this dinner.
To a certain extent, it seemed like this dinner wasn’t only celebrating the achievements of the movie, but was also for a group of people to gather around an expert to seek guidance.
Bai Qi blinked.
He saw that there was a well-known director here; an equally notable veteran producer sitting on the other side
 He also saw a famed screenwriter and a few familiar faces of President Xs and Mr. Xs who had been on the Financial Times.
So, Xi Chengyun didn’t just perform well in the acting industry? Hmm.
He remembered that Shang Guang mentioned that the Jiang family was rich. So, Xi Chengyun was from a family of quite a good standing in the first place.
“Excuse me, would you like to cut the cake now?” the attendant knocked on the door and cautiously walked in to ask.
Bai Qi turned and looked.
Good heavens. They pushed in a HUGE, seven-layer tall cake!
“Let’s light the candles first.”
“We’ve got to make a wish. Who’s going to make the wish?”
“Xi-ge, please, you first.”
The attendant helped to light the candles.
Ah. Just how much did he have to raise his head to look at the candles while he made his wishes?
Bai Qi turned over to look at Xi Chengyun, and Xi Chengyun just so happened to be looking at him as well.
After taking a look, Xi Chengyun narrowed his gaze. Then, he asked the waiter to take the upper-most layer of the cake down, placing it in front of Bai Qi.
“Here, make a wish.”
Instantly, silence fell over the small banquet.
Everyone had their eyes fixed on Bai Qi.
Bai Qi blinked and then replied, “Okay.”
He gently closed his eyes, the smell of cake lingering at his nostrils. Hmm, what should I wish for? Perhaps, I’ll simply wish that all the difficulties my family has been facing will be over soon
 And, also for Mr. Xi to attain all his heart’s desires.
Bai Qi and Xi Chengyun made their wishes together. Then, the rest opened their mouths and made their wishes. “I’m about to go bald. Please allow the successful completion of my project!”
Some even said things on the lines of, “I don’t ever want to get married, let me stay single for another 300 years” and “I like that girl, please let me successfully court her”

The wishes made by this group of industry leaders were quite appalling. They didn’t seem to put on airs, rather, the wishes they made could even be said a little old-fashioned.
After they made their wishes, the attendant came forward to help cut the cake.
Bai Qi continued to eat as the rest carried on with their chatter.
These people were still highly curious, and from time to time, they would sneak a glance in Bai Qi’s direction.
Bai Qi wasn’t shy either, shooting a smile at everyone who looked at him. After the exchanges between the few, some of them even ended up blushing.

” Shang Guang reacted.
It seemed like he was worried about the wrong thing all along.
The problem was not about whether or not Bai Qi would be shy and cause Xi-ge to lose face!
The problem was clearly about whether or not he would make Xi-ge ‘wear a green hat’!
Why was this kid so attractive when he smiled?
Xi Chengyun pushed aside the documents that were laid out in front of him. He suddenly looked up and asked, “Liang Lan, are you done looking?”
He only called President Liang out.
After he said this, everyone tried their best to put an end to their curiosity.
“No, no
” President Liang rushed to explain.
Xi Chengyun looked at him cooly, and then asked in an indifferent voice, “Is it ‘No, you’re not looking’ or ‘No, you’re not done looking’?”
“I’m done looking! I’m done looking!” President Liang quickly replied.
Xi Chengyun turned to look at Bai Qi.
Bai Qi looked undeniably innocent and cute as he met Xi Chengyun’s gaze with a fork in his mouth.

” Xi Chengyun reacted.
“Bai Qi, tell them
 who am I?”
It seemed like it would feel quite nice to hear Bai Qi say that he was his legal marriage partner.
Bai Qi thought to himself, I know the answer to this!
Bai Qi opened his mouth and said in a sweet voice, “Xi Chengyun? He’s my laogong.”
“Puh.” Everyone spat out in surprise.
Even Xi Chengyun choked on his own saliva.
A huge “WTF” covered Shang Guang’s face.
Xi Chengyun curled his fingers as he stayed silent for a moment; he was equally provoked as he was amused.
