Half an hour later, Bai Qi rinsed his mouth with tea. Then, everyone got up together and prepared to leave.
“Let me send you back,” Xi Chengyun said.

Xi Chengyun got into the role pretty fast.
He was already acting considerate to this extent.
Bai Qi knew that Xi Chengyun had played many roles in the past. Acting as a caring and refined lover wasn’t a difficult task for him.
Bai Qi nodded cooperatively. Then, he allowed Xi Chengyun to send him back to campus.
This time, they went through the basement car park as well. Thus, not many people noticed them.
Now, Bai Qi was back at his dorm. When Bai Qi pushed open the door, Mu Dong and the rest were startled, jumped in shock.
“Qi Qi! Damn, you’re finally back…”
“Where did you go?”
“Have you gone out to meet an indecent man?” This was asked in a teasing yet tactful manner.
Bai Qi gave it a bit of thought. At some point, their relationship would be public anyway. The reason why Xi Chengyun’s manager, Shang Guang, asked him to do those things on Weibo was also to cautiously leave a hint or two.
Revealing a little bit now would make the whole situation seem even more realistic.

After being stunned for a bit, the other roommates quickly chimed in too, all asking for Bai Qi to treat them.
Bai Qi touched the bank card in his pocket and said, “No problem! Bai-daye* here will treat y’all to Jianbing guozi*  tomorrow. I’ve got money! So much money that I can spend it however I want! You can even buy two, eat a piece, and throw the other away.”
*daye (大爷) refers to the ‘boss’ of the group and is meant in an informal manner
*Jianbing guozi (煎饼果子) is a popular breakfast food that originated from Tianjin, China. To make this delicacy, deep-fried dough sticks are usually rolled in a thin layer of pancake.
Mu Dong was so gleeful that he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. “Hey, seriously, when I looked from afar today… the man looked so freaking much like Xi Chengyun! There’s something wrong with my eyes, ain’t it? This eyesight that I was so proud of… I’m sure I ruined it by pulling all-nighters, playing games with Wang Dayu…”
Bai Qi blinked lightly.
The dorm was now immersed in a cheerful atmosphere.
Mu Dong thought, who the heck cares about Jiang Fangcheng anyway?
